On October 23, 1958, the Smurfs, a fictional race of blue dwarfs, appeared for the first time in the story La Flute à Six Schtroumpfs! The smurfs live in mushroom houses deep in the woods. They are all dudes, except for one: a girl named smurfette.

That means "yes." Have you ever seen a rainbow? What about a double rainbow? What about an upside down rainbow? So, is your favorite song... 'Cause _____ is: Your dress is so pretty.

Smurfblossom, remember, work on that filter, okay?

- Right! Filter, filter.


- Oh, well, we came to warn you about Gargamel.

- Garga? Garga-what?

- He's a dangerous wizard who wants to capture all smurfs and use _____ for his evil magic. And he knows about your lost village.

- "Lost village"? You're the ones who are lost, not ____.

- We have to take you to smurfy grove.

- What do we do with these blue blobs?
Oh, um...Bring _____ along.

- Come on, Smurfette. I'm gonna show you my room. You can tell ____ all about Gargasmell. But first, do you want to hear my favorite song again?

- All right, move.

- Dang!

- Girl smurfs mean business.

- You got that right.

- Open the gate!

- The girls are back!

- Ew! Where did they find them?

- Is there something wrong with _____?

- Are they sick?

- Are they food?

- No, no, no. They're smurfs, just like ____. Except, well, they're boy smurfs.

- "Boy." That's a funny word. Boy. Boy. Boy. Boy. Look at me: I'm a boy smurf!

Brainy's log, day two. We've encountered a rare new life-form.
