Here we are again, kicking off Week #2 of daily English practice at Engramme. In another quick-n-easy post, we're looking at a topic all of us have either been involved in or are just getting involved: Moving out of our parents' house!

Think Before You Watch

1. Are you thinking of moving out? What challenges do you think  lie ahead?

2. Have you moved out of your parents' house (maybe just recently or many years ago)? How was it then? How do you feel about it now?

  1. - Pre-listening Question:
    The character in the video speaks about his experience of moving out in terms of: (a), (b), (d), and (e). (c) & (f) are not mentioned.

    - Post-Listening Questions:
    a) They were discussing why he hadn't moved out before, in college for example, and he of course had his reasons.
    b) It's a humorous point he makes, but he says friends can allow you to crash their couch (stay with them for a short while) before you find your own place.
    c) He couldn't find a house that matched his criteria, that he liked.
